In China emeralds are considered as good luck and people used to wear it on Thursday. Roman believed that light colored Emeralds are unripe and becomes a darker shade of green as it matures.
In past time it was believed that if the heart of a person is loyal, the Emerald would glow in a beautiful green color, but if the heart was went astray, it would turn a different lifeless color. It was also believed in the ancient time that Emerald improves one’s memory and intelligence. In various languages it was also stated that emeralds enable people to tell fortune events and to reveal what was true or false and was said to be a sure antidote for enchantments and spells.

These gemstones are always considered as a gift to enhance a strong relationship.
